This subsystem is transversal to, and is present in each logical component of the system. It provides the means of strict user authentication and fine-grained authorization control. All components and services interoperate by using high level encryption with strict authentication of every party – user, client machine, server machine. This permits the detection and elimination of different security threats and it practically eliminates the possibility of unauthorized access to the sensitive information.

Security Subsystem ensures that the user's sensitive data remains out of range from software based attacks (like viruses, Internet attacks etc.). One way this is achieved is by providing on a chip storage for keys, along with the necessary functions to handle them within itself, so that a for example a private key never has to leave the chip (can't be seen by any piece of software).
